When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help detect spam. An anonymous string created from your email address (also called a hash) can be provided to the Gravatar service to find out if you use it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture will be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you upload images to a website, you should avoid downloading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Site visitors can download and retrieve any location data from the images on the site.

How long do we keep your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata will be stored indefinitely. This is done so that we can automatically recognize and approve any subsequent comments, and not keep them in the queue for moderation. For users who register on our site (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal data at any time (except that they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also view and edit this information.
