WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT AND WHY

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help detect spam. An anonymous string created from your email address (also called a hash) can be provided to the Gravatar service to find out if you use it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture will be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to a website, you should avoid downloading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Site visitors can download and retrieve any location data from the images on the site.

Contact Forms

If you leave a comment on our website, you can refuse to save your name, email address and website in cookies. This is for your convenience, so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will be stored for one year. If you have an account and visit this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain personal data and is deleted when the browser is closed. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your registration information and your choice of screen. Login cookies are stored for two days, and cookies for screen settings are stored for a year. If you select Remember Me, your username will be stored for two weeks. If you log out of your account, login cookies will be deleted. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie does not contain personal data and simply indicates the publication ID of the article just edited. Expires in 1 day.

Embed content from other sites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if a visitor has visited another website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking and track your interaction with this embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and you are logged into this website .

How long do we keep your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata will be stored indefinitely. This is done so that we can automatically recognize and approve any subsequent comments, and not keep them in the queue for moderation. For users who register on our site (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal data at any time (except that they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also view and edit this information.

Data Rights

If you have an account on this site or you have left comments, you can request an exported file of personal data about you that we store, including any data that you provide to us. You may also request that we delete all of your personal data about you. This does not apply to any data that we are required to store for administrative, legal or security purposes.
